Position Summary
Burnt Waffle Marketing is looking to hire a remote Marketing Associate who is passionate about content creation and social media. Our ideal candidate has experience in content creation, copywriting, social media management and strategy, paid advertising, email marketing, and reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Copywriting: This role involves social media post ideation, scheduling content through social media scheduling platforms, writing captions and copy, manually posting on social media platforms, and optimizing profiles. Copywriting extends to creating content for email blasts, sales materials, and websites. Additional duties include researching relevant topics, collaborating with the design team to create engaging visuals, and ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines.
Strategy: Staying up-to-date with current social media trends, software updates, and new technologies is crucial to inform and enhance content creation strategies. You'll also conduct competitor analysis, identify opportunities for content innovation, and contribute to the development of long-term social media strategies.
Paid Advertising: Managing paid ads via Meta Ads Manager, boosting posts, and overseeing clients’ ad budgets are key aspects of this role. Additional responsibilities include A/B testing ad creatives, monitoring campaign performance, adjusting strategies based on data, and ensuring advertising efforts align with client objectives.
Reporting & Analytics: Creating and analyzing digital marketing reports, along with developing data-driven campaigns based on insights, is essential. This also involves setting up tracking mechanisms, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing actionable recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.
Task Management: In collaboration with a project manager, you'll manage and meet deadlines, organize tasks, and ensure projects stay on track. Effective task prioritization, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of all project components are also expected.
Client Engagement: Regular communication with clients is necessary to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure their needs and expectations are met. You'll participate in client meetings, present campaign results, and foster strong client relationships.
Brand Management: Ensuring all content and communications are consistent with the client’s brand voice and identity is vital. You'll maintain brand integrity across all platforms and advise clients on best practices for brand representation.
Skills & Qualifications
Social Media Expertise: A minimum of 2 years of experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) is required
Writing and Editing: Strong writing and editing skills are essential
Graphic Design Knowledge: Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus, but not mandatory
Digital Marketing Tools: Proficiency in using digital marketing tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Slack, Asana, and similar platforms is required
Organizational Skills: Excellent organization, time management, and project management abilities are crucial for this role
Independence: Ability to work independently and deliver results without close supervision
Creativity and Collaboration: Must demonstrate creativity and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Adaptability: Ability to adapt writing style to match different client voices and tones
Continuous Learning: A strong drive to learn new skills and improve continuously

Requirements
Must have the equipment necessary to work from home (Burnt Waffle Marketing will not provide a laptop, phone, etc.)
Related college degree or equivalent years of experience
Candidates must be able to maintain a professional demeanor while managing multiple clients and deadlines
Must be based in the United States

Compensation
& Schedule
This is a contract hourly position, starting at 5-10 hours per week and may increase based on client and internal needs
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $25-$35 per hour and will be determined based on experience and discussed during the interview
Payout will be weekly for the duration of your contract
Work schedule will be determined based on your availability and current actionable tasks
